Lump Sum Impairment Benefits If you have suffered a permanent physical or psychological injury as a result of your transport accident injuries, you may be entitled to a lump sum payment from the TAC. Your Whole Person Impairment must be assessed by independent medical examiners. If your impairment is 11% or more you may be entitled to an Impairment Benefit. The maximum amount payable as of July 2024 is $427,160. In our experience, most people who suffer permanent injuries in car accidents, are entitled to an Impairment Benefit. It is also our experience that the TAC regularly under-assess Impairment Benefit claims. If the TAC has assessed your level of impairment, please call us for a free opinion to see if we can increase your Impairment Benefit.
